A quick note about systems.
I have found it interesting the debate on whether or not training systems are needed or useful. When it comes to Network Marketing and the direct selling industry in general. For years Network Marketers have created an entire industry absorbing. Books, CD’s, DVD’s, Seminars and major events. But do they really help the starting or struggling Business owner make it in their business.
I am going to give this one a yes and a no. As a networker with over 20 years of experience in the industry. Also as an entrepreneur. Who has build other more conventional businesses and opportunities. I really have found that many of the training “systems” that are created by top leaders lack in merit.
Instead of being designed to help you move forward they sell you on an idea that if you listen to enough stuff and read enough success will magically happen. This is just not true. Now don’t get me wrong. I love training materials. I love getting motivated. But if in the course of the training I am PAYING FOR . I expect that you will teach me what I am supposed to do to get from point a to point b in my opportunity.
If you don’t do that and all you tell me is that all I need is a dream and it will all fall together. You are lying to anyone who is listening. Yes you need a powerful why to do get to success. However if I am standing on the road blind folded and spun around and your giving me directions and all you say is have a dream. I am probably not going to make it anywhere.
How do you find a good system. Shop first of all. Yes your leader has what ever system he/she has created or has bought into. But I have made this very expensive mistake more that once. Shop around.
Second free advise is sometimes the best advice. Find systems that give free training. Take the training and if they are teaching nuts and bolts techniques you probably have a winner.
Third don’t become a slave to the system. This is another costly mistake I have made in my time as a network marketer. If you personally do not know the leader at the top and are being mentored by them. Don’t become a income stream for nothing to them. I have sat in the homes of so many of these very successful marketers and learned that many of them teach their closest people very different stuff that the group in general. There are trade secrets. But they are not that closely guarded.
