Personal Marketing — Its all about me
I am really excited about building myself through Personal Marketing. For years I have build different businesses and I thought is was interesting how much effort is placed on branding a company or a product. Yet nothing is done to protect the most important brand of all. You!!! Recently their has been a real push for people to Google themselves.
Why Google yourself? If your not in control of your Google or not on Google you don’t exist. Did you know that in a survey done just this last February 24 percent of all Human Resource people do a Google, Facebook, and Twitter check to find out about you before making a hiring decision.
I really didn’t thing much about this until I went out looking for Real Estate Broker and next thing I knew almost half of the brokers that I interviewed with wanted to be my friend on Facebook or Twitter. After the second friend request I Goggled my name and realized I was a nobody. I didn’t Google within the first several hours let alone the first page. I now know Personal Marketing it’s all about me.
